Work experience

I have worked at Finvector Oy since 2015 as a specialist in various roles. My current title is Senior Validation Engineer, which means approving analytics and process equipment for production. Preparing various documents has also become familiar.

Before Finvector I worked as a researcher at Yara Suomi Oy, where I studied the optimisation of phosphoric acid production at bench scale and various enrichment experiments. Before that I worked at Sweco Industry on various project assignments for the process and mining industries.

I completed my first thesis for Sinebrychoff Oy, where the aim was to optimise the growth medium for lactic acid bacteria and the effect of fermentation on the flavour profile of a wort-based drink. My second thesis was for VRJ Group, where I carried out a feasibility study on the profitability of a biogas plant, covering investment calculation methods, energy balance calculations and comparisons of technologies and plant options.

Other workplaces include the University of Oulu, where I carried out project work for various research groups. I did my traineeship at the Hans-Knöll Institute in Jena, Germany. I also spent summers at UPM Kymmene in Pietarsaari and one summer as a laboratory assistant at Olvi.
